Morphological changes in IFI patients demonstrated sexual dimorphism, including bone and muscular morphology. Differences in the anteroposterior diameter of the pelvic inlet, intertuberous distance, neck shaft angle, gluteus medius, and gluteus minimus may explain why females are more susceptible to IFI.
