A porphyrin-based COF containing a dialkylnaphthalene derivative was constructed to deliver extracellular singlet oxygen ( 1 O 2 ) into cancer cells through the Diels-Alder/retro-Diels-Alder reaction between dialkylnaphthalene and 1 O 2 to realize light- and oxygen-independent oxidative damage for cancer therapy.
