Prevalence of diabetes and its correlates among Iranian adults: Results of the first phase of Shahedieh cohort study.

The results showed that some of the main determinants of diabetes are the modifiable risk factors. Therefore, implementing early detection, and screening programs for people at risk and preventive measures, such as lifestyle modification programs, and control of risk factors can prevent this disease.
