Combined assessment of frailty and albumin was the strongest risk predictor. Therefore, for patients undergoing surgery, we recommend consideration of both serum albumin and frailty in order to optimally determine perioperative planning, including multi-disciplinary care mobilization and pre- and posthabilitation.
