Biochemical control is not always achieved with somatostatin receptor ligands and dopamine agonists in the treatment of acromegaly. Therefore, we support the use of clomiphene citrate (CC) as a cost-effective oral add-on treatment option in selected hypogonadal acromegaly cases.
