Hydrops fetalis, univentricular physiology and conotruncal anomalies are associated with poor outcomes in heterotaxy syndrome. The severity of the cardiac malformation is the main determinant of the outcomes. The presence of extracardiac malformations is associated with increased morbidity and mortality.
