Convergent validity of the child behavior checklist sleep items in children with moderate to severe traumatic brain injury.

The CBCL does not provide a comprehensive assessment of sleep disturbances in children with moderate to severe TBI. Nevertheless, certain CBCL sleep items demonstrate initial convergent validity with subscales of the SDSC assessing select types of sleep disturbances. The CBCL may be useful in research and clinical situations when administration of more comprehensive assessment sleep tools is not viable.
