An Anatomic Study of the Proximal Tibial Epiphysis With Relevance to Percutaneous Epiphysiodesis Using Transphyseal Screws (PETS).

This study provides quantitative, anatomic data on the thickness of the proximal tibial epiphysis, which can direct screw placement during PETS for correcting limb-length discrepancies. These data may help lessen the risk of developing tibial valgus deformity although future clinical studies are necessary to fully evaluate this possibility.
