Despite extensive in-patient rehabilitation, cardiometabolic component risks are elevated in bilateral-LLA, but are comparable between unilateral-LLA and active non-injured controls. Innovative strategies that improve/support the long-term PA and cardiometabolic health of severely injured bilateral-LLA are warranted.
