The Quality and Utility of Referral Letters for Gender-Affirming Surgery.

Referral letters only variably documented WPATH-recommended surgical criteria and did not reliably document physical and mental health comorbidities. Our research suggests that multidisciplinary pre-surgical assessment may be more useful than referral letters in some settings.
