The effect of quercetin on absence epilepsy in WAG/Rij rats.

Based on the results of the present study, 25 mg/kg low-dose quercetin may have reduced absence seizures by reducing proinflammatory cytokines and NO, but high-dose quercetin may have increased absence seizures through increasing the NO level. This contrasting effect of quercetin on absence seizures needs to be investigated by advanced mechanisms.
