Alternative quinolone-resistance pathway caused by simultaneous horizontal gene transfer in Haemophilus influenzae.

These findings indicate that H. influenzae can simultaneously obtain more than two mutated genes. This mechanism of horizontal transfer could be an alternative pathway for attaining quinolone resistance.
