Popliteal artery entrapment syndrome should be considered before treating popliteal artery aneurysms, especially atypical pseudoaneurysms without significant atherosclerosis. Definitive surgical management rather than endoluminal treatment is required unless combined with open decompressive surgery to correct the musculotendinous anatomy.
