This study highlights the advanced nature of the presentation of gastric cancer patients and the poor rate of treatment completion. The median survival rates in curative patients remain to be dismally poor. The treatment sequence in curable gastric cancer of surgery followed by adjuvant chemotherapy vs. perioperative chemotherapy followed by surgery needs to be explored in our country.
