Moderate-to-severe TBI patients have more prevalent insulin resistance than healthy controls. Evaluation of insulin resistance in these patients, who currently have limited participation in life activities and healthy lifestyles, may be useful to prevent cardiovascular diseases caused by insulin resistance.
