Hierarchical Cu dendrites fabricated via Cl-mediated electrodeposition afford high C 2 H 4 efficiency (58% faradaic efficiency at -0.9 V vs. RHE) for CO 2 electroreduction thanks to not only the optimal hydrophobicity/aerophilicity, but also the dominant distribution of active (100) and (110) facets.
