FMS is a rare but severe complication secondary to phaco-IOL-GSL. Compared to VHZI with local anterior vitrectomy via anterior chamber approach, VHZI with comprehensive anterior vitrectomy via pars plana approach might be a more effective procedure to treat FMS.
