LV diastolic dysfunction and increased LV dimensions were the most common cardiac abnormality in children with CKD. LV dimensions correlated directly with parathormone levels and inversely with eGFR, serum calcium and haemoglobin. Diastolic dysfunction positively correlated with serum creatinine and parathormone levels.
