Implementation of CURES 2.0 has resulted in a reduction in the opioid prescription following pediatric scoliosis deformity surgery without an increase in readmissions. Further studies are needed to evaluate how legislations of this kind affect patient reported outcomes, satisfaction, and quality of life.
