Type V TA patients had longer disease duration and higher incidence of hypertension and were more prone to have coronary artery involvement compared with non-type V patients. Key Points • This study is the first to assess characteristics of the type V TA in Chinese people. • Type V TA patients had longer disease duration and higher incidence of hypertension and were more prone to have coronary artery involvement compared with non-type V patients. • The numbers of platelet (PLT) and the plateletcrit (PCT) in type V TA patients were significantly smaller than those in non-type V group.
