Minimally Invasive Anterolateral Cervical Cordotomy for Intractable Cancer Pain Using Microtubular Retractors: A Single Institution Case Series.

Compared with image-guided percutaneous cordotomy, anterolateral cervical cordotomy with microtubular retractors potentially improves the safety of the procedure through direct visualization while being less invasive than a conventional open approach. Our preliminary experience with this technique demonstrates the feasibility of the approach, as it was both safe and effective.
