Statins combined with exercise training or exercise alone are more effective to improve functional status, to manage cholesterol levels and overall cardiovascular risk factors in dyslipidemic older adults with comorbidities than ST alone. Furthermore, current results suggest that isolated statin therapy decreases functional status and other cardiovascular risk factors.
