Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans serotypes "b" and "c" associate with both periodontal and CAD status. Detectable serotypes associate with the quantity and the serology of the bacterium emphasizing both local and systemic effect of the A. actinomycetemcomitans serotypes.
