Different types of movements, including SILMS, ISOLMS, and LMM, play somewhat distinct roles in sleep neurophysiology in RLS. Notably, LMM, a newly recognized category of movements, demonstrate associations with sleep architecture instability and fragmentation, arousals, and awakenings, suggesting potential clinical implications.
