This study identified ALD, CONUT score, aspartate aminotransferase, and hemoglobin as predictors of zinc deficiency in chronic liver disease. The rate of zinc deficiency is high even in patients classified as mALBI grade 1, especially in ALD, while caution may be required in those classified as mALBI grade 1-CONUT undernutrition.
