Cognitive dysfunction was commonly found in children with CKD. Socioeconomic factors, particularly school attendance and family income, were associated with cognitive dysfunction. Cognitive evaluation is suggested for children with CKD who have socioeconomic risk factors. "A higher resolution version of the Graphical abstract is available as Supplementary information."
