Hemipelvic endoprosthetic reconstruction after resection of a periacetabular tumour has a dislocation rate of 9.3% (n = 41). Patients are most likely to dislocate in the first three months after surgery. The risk is increased for older patients (especially those aged > 60 years) and for those with gluteus maximus resection, vertical shift of the COR ≥ 20 mm, and a type I+II+III pelvic resection.
