First-degree relatives of patients hospitalised in intensive care units have a higher prevalence of depression, hopelessness, and suicidality. Female relatives are more depressed than male. Ensuring psychiatric evaluation of the relatives of patients hospitalised in intensive care units in Türkiye is important.
