The ten-item French EXIT is a valid and reliable instrument for the self-assessment of women's experiences of IOL in the three weeks following delivery for any method of IOL used. As a patient-reported outcome measure, it would allow the comparison of experiential outcomes across IOL studies in order to include women's preferences in decisions regarding their care.
