Prevalence and Associated Risk Factors of Hypertension in Adults with Disabilities: A Cross-Sectional Study in Shanghai, China.

Patients with physical disabilities have a significantly higher prevalence of hypertension compared to the normal population. Patients with intellectual or mental disabilities have lower rates of blood pressure control compared to other types of disabilities. Assessment of associated risk factors highlights an increased likelihood of potential renal dysfunction among hypertensive disabled patients.
