Elderly patients with hip fractures had a poorer prognosis in epidemic period despite being COVID-19 negative. Factors including timely admission, postoperative follow-up, and rehabilitation could optimize safety and significantly improve the prognosis of elderly COVID-19 negative patients with hip fractures, even during a pandemic.
