The effect of interpersonal relations theory-based motivational interviews on functional remission and insight levels of patients with schizophrenia: A randomized controlled trial.

It was concluded that motivational interviews based on Interpersonal Relations Theory were effective in increasing the insights and functionality of patients with schizophrenia. Psychiatric nurses' practice of motivational interviews based on the therapeutic relationship is considered to increase the quality of care and satisfaction of patients with schizophrenia. It is recommended that this practice be used extensively in clinical practice.
