Prehospital administration of blood products occurred infrequently within this pediatric dataset, but those that received blood were critically injured with most receiving a massive transfusion. Given the frequency with which medical personnel are carrying blood products in the prehospital, combat setting, guidelines specific to pediatric administration would be beneficial.
