Urinary symptoms are extremely common in the third trimester and significantly affect the quality of life of pregnant women. Since overweight, obesity, smoking and reduced pelvic floor contractility emerged as modifiable risk factors for the development of these symptoms, prevention and adequate counselling are cornerstones of pregnancy care.
