• Distal extremity diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) is often limited. • ZOOMit DWI displayed improved fat suppression with less motion artifacts and better visualization of the lower extremity bones than conventional DWI. • ZOOMit shows decreased contrast-to-noise ratio than conventional DWI.
