The conductive 3D freestanding N-doped carbon nanofibers (NCNFs) current collector was embedded with homogeneously polar TiO 2 nanoparticles. This current collector used for the sulfur cathode exhibits strong chemical adsorption for hindering the shuttle effect of polysulfides, and demonstrates a high specific capacity of 865 mA h g -1 at 0.2C and excellent cycle performance (200 cycles with capacity retention of 91%).
