This case report highlights ways to minimize barriers to induction of first-line opioid substitution therapy, buprenorphine/naloxone, by eliminating withdrawal during induction phase utilizing a fentanyl bridge within the limitations of a transdermal fentanyl bridge in an inpatient setting.
