Pediatric patients with acute and chronic kidney disease are at risk of cefepime-related neurologic changes. Therapeutic drug monitoring for cefepime in patients with kidney dysfunction or baseline neurologic abnormalities may help inform appropriate antimicrobial dosing and avoidance of toxicity.
