- Adiponectin levels were not associated with LDL-C levels but with levels of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins, particularly remnant cholesterol.-Incrementing adiponectin via lifestyle modification and/or pharmacological therapies (i.e. GLP-1 agonists) could be a mechanism to reduce remnant cholesterol levels and ultimately cardiovascular risk.
