Under current practice, intraoperative anaesthetic parameters are tightly maintained, restricting the significance of their effect on postoperative renal function. Future studies should evaluate whether haemodynamic parameters during the early postoperative period, when they are monitored less frequently, are associated with renal functional outcome.
