Incidence of Procedure-Related Complications in Patients Treated With Atherectomy in the Femoropopliteal and Tibial Vessels in the Vascular Quality Initiative.

Atherectomy was associated with increased procedural-related complications in femoropopliteal, but not in tibial vessels. Future studies addressing lesion morphology, device design, and technique may help define its role in peripheral vascular interventions.
