Circulating miR-21 shows abilities to differentiate between ACS and non-ACS, suggesting its potential as a novel diagnostic biomarker for ACS. However, the evidence is weakened by high heterogeneity observed among the studies. Further research is essential before it can be applied in clinical practice.
