The patients with the smaller nasopharyngeal areas presented identical PRESO and POSSO results when compared to those with larger nasopharyngeal sizes. Future studies should address the possible association between prepalatoplasty and postpalatoplasty TNAs and the occurrence of velopharyngeal deficiency later in life.
