The Relationship between Frailty and Mechanical Ventilation: A Population-based Cohort Study.

Frailty score was independently associated with longer duration of mechanical ventilation and contributed to identify patients who were less likely to be liberated from mechanical ventilation. The impact of frailty on ventilation time varied with age and was most apparent for younger patients.
