Poor treatment adherence in BU patients has a negative effect on final visual acuity outcomes. Moreover, BU patients experience lower QoL and higher rates of depression and anxiety compared to the healthy control group. These findings highlight the importance of addressing treatment adherence and psychological well-being in the management of BU.
