Enablers and barriers to diabetic retinopathy eye care among first nations and Métis women.

Our study advances knowledge in socio-cultural factors influencing diabetic retinopathy care behaviour among First Nations and Métis women living with and at risk of diabetes. The study shows the need for further public health and health system interventions to address barriers and support Indigenous peoples with or at risk of diabetes to make informed health decisions.
