These results reveal that UPBNPS-MCSNs have high antibacterial and antibiofilm, and can mediate the bacterial redox pathway ROS/GSH like the classical pathway of ferroptosis, providing a theoretical basis for them to develop into a safe and effective novel root canal disinfectant.
