Prevalence of Developmental Venous Anomalies in Association with Sporadic Cavernous Malformations on 7T MRI.

By means of high-quality 7T imaging, most patients with a sporadic cavernous malformation were found to have an associated developmental venous anomaly. These findings support the hypothesis that cavernous malformations may arise secondary to hemodynamic abnormalities.
