The first national survey of anesthesia techniques for fetal therapies in Japan.

In this first published description of the frequency of various anesthetic techniques used during fetal therapies in Japan, we found that anesthetic techniques varied depending on the degree of invasiveness to the mother and fetus. Fetal anesthesia was not always performed, and the most common route for fetal anesthesia was maternal administration.
