Surgical interventions undoubtedly worsen prognosis of treatment in patients with COVID-19. Emergency minimally invasive surgery without mechanical ventilation can reduce the risk of unfavorable outcomes in patients with viral pneumonia, especially in case of concomitant cancer and other severe comorbidities.
